§ Legal basis. Family Code Article 99: where there is no agreement, the general shares are 1/4 of income for one child, 1/3 for two children, and 1/2 for three or more children. A court may decrease or increase the amount considering the parties' financial or family circumstances and other relevant factors. The law also provides a minimum amount per child. The current statutory minimum and case facts should be checked for a final figure.
